Which enclosure fits my old drive?
Read the drive model label first. A 2.5-inch SATA drive, a 2.5-inch IDE drive and an M.2 SSD need different connections. M.2 describes a form factor: an M.2 drive can use SATA or PCIe/NVMe. Do not select an enclosure by connector appearance alone.
- Look up the exact drive model in its manufacturer's specifications.
- Match the interface and physical size, including drive thickness or M.2 length.
- Check the enclosure's supported protocol, capacity, cable and your computer's USB port.
- Back up valuable data. An enclosure does not repair a failed drive; do not initialize or format a drive if you need its existing files.

Which screwdriver set do I need?
Use the service manual for your exact device to identify screw profiles and sizes. A larger piece count does not guarantee the bit you need. Match the bit list before ordering; a poorly fitting bit can damage a screw. Stop if the driver slips instead of applying more force.

Choosing a stand and sleeve
Compare your laptop's actual width, depth, thickness and weight against the listed support area and load limit. Screen diagonal alone is not enough. For sleeves, compare internal dimensions rather than external package measurements. If these details are missing, confirm them before ordering.

Choosing cleaning accessories
Follow your device manufacturer's instructions. Turn the device off and unplug it before cleaning. Avoid pushing debris into ports or spraying liquid directly onto electronics. A brush kit is not automatically suitable for every screen coating or connector.
